Moon and Bike are an instrumental guitar duo from the Pacific Northwest, USA. Their use of acoustic and electric guitars to create lush, melodic, and immersive soundscapes is the core of their sound. Some of their influences include Daniel Lanois, Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins, Don Peris of The Innocence Mission, and Peter Buck of R.E.M.. Boone and Michael met in Eugene, OR and formed their first band, Turning Eleven, shortly after in Portland, OR. During their years in Portland, they wrote and played together and with other musicians in a variety of styles. They also scored for film and worked in sound design. In October 2020, they released their first album of instrumental guitar works, One. The self-titled track, Moon and Bike, was originally composed in 1995 and inspired the Moon and Bike project. They are currently recording their next full-length album, which will release in the summer of 2021.
